The Le Corbusier Chaise Lounge (LC4) is the best known and most successful of the Le Corbusier designs that were first exhibited at the Salon D' Automne in 1929. The Le Corbusier Chaise Lounge or "Longue" (LC4) was designed in 1928 for the furnishing of a villa in the Ville d' Avray and utilizes exposed structural elements with a padded leather cushion and headrest.

The LC4 Chaise Lounge has an infinite number of seating positions as the top frame is not attached to the base. Therefore a comfortable seating position for reading may be attained, or lower the chaise for a nap the way Le Corbusier enjoyed.

Le Corbusier is considered to be one of the most influential architects of the 20^th century. He was a pioneer in the use of steel and concrete creating stark and rectilinear structures throughout the world. The International Style that Le Corbusier influenced continues to be popular as witnessed in the continued fame of the LC4 Chaise.

The experience shopping with Sage & Sill was a good one ... the order I received was damaged in transit. The package itself was very securely wrapped though, so I'm not sure how the damage occurred. I reported the damage immediately & followed through on the information the company needed, including photos of the damaged item. I explained I only needed a replacement bulb for the item, as that was what I sent the picture of. To my surprize though, today I received a whole new replacement order, not just the broken part (the bulb)! And it was super quick too! Thanx so much, Sage & Sill 🤍
