Hand-knotted in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains 40–50 years ago, Aviva is a one-of-a-kind vintage wool rug with a beautifully layered composition and richly timeworn color.
The design moves from softly faded terracotta and dusty orange into a saturated field of crimson red. Rows of diamonds, eight-pointed forms, and smaller geometric details create distinct chapters across the rug, framed by dark borders and striped ends.
Aviva’s evolving palette and varied arrangement reveal the creative rhythm of its Amazigh maker. Its combination of warm desert colors and intricate geometry recalls the weaving traditions associated with southern Morocco, although the exact village of origin is not documented.
Measuring 4'2" x 9'5", Aviva works beautifully in a wide hallway, bedroom, dining area, or narrow seating space. Its elongated proportions and saturated color make it a natural focal point in both neutral and collected interiors.
