This handcrafted African antelope head is perfect for mounting indoors or outdoors and will weather well, slowly changing to a greyish hue if left outdoors. It is hand carved from a single piece of Blue Gum wood, a form of eucalyptus found throughout southeast Africa. The wood species in invasive in South Africa, and systematic removal of the wood protects native woods and old growth forests, making the pieces both beautiful and eco-friendly.

Crafted to endure the test of time, these African sculptures mature with elegance, developing a captivating gray patina and acquiring unique, intricate cracks as the wood becomes increasingly resilient.

The experience shopping with Sage & Sill was a good one ... the order I received was damaged in transit. The package itself was very securely wrapped though, so I'm not sure how the damage occurred. I reported the damage immediately & followed through on the information the company needed, including photos of the damaged item.
