A zippered encasement that closes around all 6 sides of the mattress, so bed bugs already in the mattress stay in and new ones cannot get in. The end of the zipper track, where bed bugs get through on ordinary covers, is closed off by the BugStop® Seal (U.S. Patent No. 8,413,276). Snell Scientifics, LLC tested the encasement for bite-through and escape. The reports are linked below.
The fabric is a stretch knit, certified to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, laminated to a polyurethane membrane. Liquids stay out and air passes through, so it is quiet and does not sleep like a plastic cover. It goes directly on the mattress, under your mattress pad and sheet.
Pick your size and depth
Twin through Cal King, plus Hotel King, Crib, and a 36" x 80" semi-truck size. Depths are 6", 9", 12" and 16". Measure the height of your mattress and choose the matching depth. If your mattress sits between 9 and 12 inches, the BedBug Solution Hybrid stretches to fit that whole range.
Test results
- Fluid barrier: meets ASTM F1670-08 for synthetic blood penetration.
- PFAS: SGS tested it against a 725-substance PFAS panel referencing EN 17681-1:2025. None of the 195 reported analytes were detected, and total organic fluorine was not detected under California AB 1817 (report SHAHL26025130901, 17 August 2026).
- Laundering: ISO 6330 testing (SGS-CSTC Changzhou, report SL42604312776801TX, May 2026) measured shrinkage of 0.6% lengthwise and 2.1% widthwise, color change at grade 4 to 5, and negligible pilling.

Warranty and returns
Every Elite encasement carries the Bargoose Lifetime Limited Warranty against seam, zipper and lamination failure. Items in the original sealed bag can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date with an RMA number. Opened bedding can be returned only if it is defective.
For hotels and property managers
An encasement keeps fluids and pests out of the mattress core, which delays replacement, and after a pest treatment the room goes back into service sooner. For property-wide orders and tiered pricing, send a quote request or email orders@bargoosebedding.com.
Questions
Can bed bugs get through the zipper?
The zipper is where most encasements fail. On the Elite, the BugStop® Seal covers the end of the zipper track so there is no gap to crawl through.
Will I feel it through the sheet?
The top is a soft stretch knit and it does not crinkle. It sits under your mattress pad, so what you lie on is the pad and the sheet.
How many washes will it take?
We do not publish a cycle count, because we have not finished a multi-cycle laundering test and will not quote a number we cannot show you. The ISO 6330 results above show it holds its size and finish through laundering. Barrier-retention testing after repeated industrial laundering is in progress; ask us for current documentation.
